You’re Not Summer-Ready Until You’ve Seen Jill Martin’s New Home Collection
Fashion authority and TV personality, Jill Martin is getting ready to launch the latest addition to her lifestyle brand and it has all it takes to bring your space from home to haven this season.
G.I.L.I. by Jill Martin Home is designed to totally transform your space, or to make over your existing environment, with styles that bring you calmness, joy and accessible elegance. The collection features pieces for both inside and outside the home, including pool floats (that double as fun backyard centerpieces), decorative pillows, reversible comforter sets, oversized towels, and accent rugs, all featuring eclectic and unconventional prints.
While gearing up for her launch Jill shared more about bringing the collection to life, the inspiration behind the line and decorating her own home.
You saved up for so long to buy your first home. What was the first space you decorated and why?
Jill Martin: The palm tree room! I always loved the iconic print and the team was fully behind reinventing it and bringing it into different parts of the collection. It’s fun, whimsical and I feel at home and at peace surrounded by it. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
What was your inspiration when creating the designs and prints in your collection?
JM:When I first moved into my home, I wanted the whole house to be white with pops of color and interesting prints. I couldn’t find pieces that were stylish, bold, affordable and that coordinated with each other, so I decided to create them. The prints are really an extension of our G.I.L.I. fashion line, but also represent memories from my past and inspiration through my travel. This line incorporates items and designs that are not only on-trend, but products that are top quality and will makeover any room.
What are your favorite pieces from the collection?
JM: They are all my babies! Every piece coordinates with something else in the collection, or can work as a way to spruce up your existing decor. A small investment can make a big difference in any room – the throw pillows work as an instant update on an older couch, the bold trays turn any ottoman into a table, and the sheets/comforter sets bring an instant refresh to your bedroom or guest room.
What was your biggest fear when starting to design your home collection?
JM: Honestly, I have never been so confident about a project in my career. This line does not exist anywhere. I teamed up with the leading manufacturers in the industry and created a collection that will allow you to reinvent your life room by room, space by space, and at an incredible value. I am working with an amazing team and together, we have taken everything you love about items at QVC and combined them to create the perfect pieces for the ultimate makeover.
What was your favorite part about bringing this collection to life?
JM:The collection has been a little over a year in the making and it has been so exciting watching it evolve. To see all of these items in my home, that I have so much love for, brings tears to my eyes…truly.
