Hundreds of Associates Engage in CPR Training

In honor of February’s American Heart Month, the American Heart Association (AHA), one of QVC’s featured charities, visited multiple U.S. sites to conduct 10 minute CPR training sessions for associates.

Participants used a training doll and followed an instructional video to learn Hands-Only CPR. Staff from AHA were also present to answer questions and provide participants with tips on what to do in the case of an emergency, at work or at home.

Over 300 QVC associates completed the sessions and participants from the San Antonio and West Chester sites were also able to bring along their “littles” from QVC’s Big Brothers, Big Sisters, a program where QVC associates are paired with children facing adversity and act as a mentor to help attain their goals.

At the end of each session, all QVC associates took home their very own CPR training doll, as well as several informative fact sheets to guide their families and friends through Hands-Only CPR.

“It is great to be able to teach so many QVC employees and know that they can go home and teach their families as well. The more people that know Hands-Only CPR, the more lives we can keep safe,” said Dan Green, Sr. Business Development Director and AHA Instructor.
