‘Pop-Up’ Event Generates 4,800 Comfort Kits for People in Crisis

Hundreds of team members recently joined a ‘pop-up assembly line’ to create comfort kits for local families and individuals facing disaster or tragedy. The kits will be distributed through the Red Cross, which presented the eight-hour event at QVC headquarters in West Chester, Pa.

“It was such a powerful testament to the giving nature of our team here,” said Kate Sheehan, QVC’s Manager of Community Affairs. “While everyone had different reasons for volunteering, it was the personal stories I heard throughout the day that really touched me. More than one team member shared with me that they had benefited from Red Cross relief services at some point in their lives. Now was their turn to pay it forward.”
