QVC Adds a Virtual Mirror to Live, Interactive Beauty Shopping
Starting tomorrow, QVC customers will be able to virtually “try on” a selection of Laura Geller New York beauty products via their mobile devices, while at the same time watching Laura discuss her cosmetics on our broadcast and asking Laura questions — live, across multiple devices.
QVC is deepening its immersive beauty shopping experience by launching an augmented reality shopping experience in the YouCam Makeup mobile app, created in collaboration with Perfect Corp.’s YouCam Makeup and Laura Geller New York. Laura is one of the world’s leading beauty experts and is a long-time member of the QVC’s global shopping community.
YouCam Makeup’s award-winning technologies allow each shopper to virtually explore how each product’s different color options and finishes will look on her own face, creating an accurate, easy, mess-free way to “try before you buy” without needing to visit an in-store beauty counter. The app takes into account skin tone matching and a variety of textures so each shopper can experience the stunning finishes of Laura Geller New York beauty products — sheer, matte, shimmery, glossy, or metallic — from virtually anywhere.
