QVC and Chester County Food Bank Bring Nourishment to Those in Need

November 16, 2018: QVC and the Chester County Food Bank have been honored by The Philadelphia Inquirer with their Corporate Philanthropy Awards program in the category ‘Most Charitable Cash’.

According to the Chester County Food Bank, nearly 48,000 residents in Chester County struggle with food insecurity, of which more than 18,000 are children. To help combat this critical issue in our community, QVC has a long-standing partnership with the Chester County Food Bank to create neighborhood hunger fighting initiatives, including QVC’s on-site community, QGarden, and our premier sponsorship of the Food Bank’s Fresh2You program.

“Being able to make such a big impact in the community where we all live and work is an incredibly humbling and rewarding opportunity,” said Kate Sheehan, QVC’s Community Affairs Manager.

To date, QVC has donated more than 8,000 pounds of produce, 70% of which was donated directly to local food pantries. These donations have impacted more than 42,000 meals.
