QVC and FOX Team Up for Episode of "Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars"
FOX’s new hit show “Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars,” has teamed up with QVC for a high stakes video commerce challenge that will air in its Wednesday, August 2 episode at 9 p.m. ET. “Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars” is searching for the next great food and drink industry entrepreneur. The series, which premiered on May 24, 2023, began with 15 contestants vying for Gordon to make a personal investment of $250,000 in their businesses. Each week, the aspiring moguls are challenged in all aspects of running a food enterprise, including creating, marketing and selling to real customers.
Episode 108 will feature QVC Program Host Alberti Popaj along with members of QVC’s live production and merchandising teams serving as mentors and judges. Alberti and QVC Line Producer, Sean Hagan, help guide and prepare the contestants as they are challenged to compete in a live video commerce simulation to sell items from QVC’s culinary assortment. As a leader in video commerce, which includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms, QVC has defined and mastered live and “live-like” video shopping experiences and brought that expertise to the contestants on the show. FOX was able to leverage QVC’s authority in this space to provide an authentic experience for the contestants to learn about the live video shopping model.
Alberti will host a special pre-show livestream party on Wednesday, August 2 at 8 p.m. ET on QVC.com & QVC Social Channels where he will share his experience being on the show and his favorite behind-the-scenes moments of his time with Gordon Ramsay. At 10 p.m. ET, immediately following the episode on FOX, tune in to QVC for “Now You’re Cooking® with Alberti.” Alberti will be showcasing products inspired by the competition.
